Real Sociedad vs. Athletic Bilbao

Our first game of the week that we have some insights for is Real Sociedad vs. Atletic Bilbao. These guys aren't giants in LaLiga right now, but you don't need giants to be competing to find some attractive betting markets.

Both teams to score

Real Sociedad has scored 9 goals in their last 4 games, and we would expect this goal scoring form to continue going into this match - especially since they are playing at home. In fact, 7 of these 9 goals came when they were playing at home, so the facts all point to at least a goal or two for this game.

Athletic Bilbao hasn’t scored as many goals as Real Sociedad recently, but they have hit the back of the net 5 times in the last 4 games. That's still an average of more than 1 goal each game, and with a squad as talented as they are, we'd think that they can scramble a goal in this one.

Real Sociedad to win

In terms of the final result of the game, we are shooting for Real Sociedad to win this one by a score of 2-1. Given that they've netted 7 goals in their last 3 home games, we think that their confidence will be soaring high, and clearly the strikers are in good form.

Of course, we also stated that Athletic Bilbao is likely to grab a goal in this one, which has led us to the conclusion of a 2-1 win for Real Sociedad.

CA Osasuna vs. Real Madrid

Our second game of the week is this rather tasty clash between CA Osasuna and Real Madrid. This game will take place at the CA Osasuna stadium, at 15:00 Spanish time, also on Sunday the 9th.

Clearly Real Madrid are the favourites for this game since they are at the top of LaLiga right now with 49 points, but there's still a couple of reasonable betting markets for this one.

Real Madrid over 2.5 goals

In the last 4 away games, Real Madrid have scored a tremendous 11 goals in total. It doesn't seem like they are shy about stepping things up a notch when they are on the road, and with CA Osasuna in 11th place right now, we think Madrid can score several past them.

This is also helped by players like Hazard, Bale, and Benzema all being fit and healthy to play. These guys can be goal-scoring machines when they get going, and if they are on the pitch on Sunday, they are sure to produce some goals.

Real Madrid to win

You may have guessed that this one was coming, but if Madrid is able to net over 2.5 goals on Sunday, it would be rather surprising if they didn't go on to win. We feel that the score could even be as large as 4-0 or 4-1 in this one, but this does depend on how CA Osasuna approaches the game.

It could be the case that they put out a very defensive squad and just play for the draw, which would probably be a good play against much stronger opposition. Even if they do play this way however, Madrid is skilled enough to put together a string of creative passes and find opportunities to score.

Once a goal or two has been scored, CA Osasuna will have to start trying to push further up the field in an attempt to grab goals. This will open up the play for Madrid to score a wealth of goals.
