What to Expect at the DreamHack Melbourne 2022 Event
The event is “anything you can think of to do with gaming”, as DreamHack organiser and ESL Australia's senior project manager Brad Baldwin described it. Australians can rest assured that they will get the complete, real-deal experience and not a “lite” version. Whether you are a hardcore esports fan, a gaming fanatic, or you want to attend a few cool exhibitions with your kids or parents and introduce them to the universe of gaming they know nothing about, DreamHack will have a little something for everybody. Both casual and competitive gaming fans will get the chance to come together and lose themselves in the gaming universe at the Melbourne & Olympic Park arena which has hosted the best tennis players, Olympians, and pop stars on the planet over the years. Now, the arena will be summoning the world's best gaming and esports companies, developers, and gamers.
DreamHack Melbourne 2022 will host the much-anticipated Halo Championship Series at the Margaret Court Arena. The Rod Laver Arena will host a Counter Strike: Global Offensive ESL Challenger tournament with huge money prizes. The event will be held for the first time since the IEM event in 2019, and Aussies will have a chance to witness the highly anticipated return to the big stage during three full days of competition. The LCO Split 2 Grand Final will also take place on the last day of the event and it will bring together the most successful League of Legends teams on the continent. Halo Infinite fans can rejoice at the news that the HCS ANZ Regional has been confirmed for Australia. DreamHack Melbourne will also introduce visitors to a series of small high school and amateur esports matches and tourneys, “bring your own computer” LAN parties, screenings, cosplay events, professional esports tournaments, and cool exhibitions.
Anyone who feels confident and comfortable playing a plethora of video games, pokies online and other casinos for real money games on computers and mobile devices is expected to have a blast in this safe space. Organisers have set a “feel good” goal for all attendees ready to enjoy the immersive experiences that will bring the entire community to life. This September, get ready to join your first Dreamhack event or join millions of fans who will tune in to DreamHack broadcasts!
